Wow have they come a long way. About 5 years ago I picked up a Samsung SCD103 for about $300. Works great for everyday shooting of the kids. The LCD screen died on it though. It&#8217;s still usable. I just have to look through the tiny little viewfinder now, which is annoying. <br \/>\nI was reading the <a href=\"http:\/\/magazine-back-issues.biz\/consumer_reports_2010.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">December 2010 issue of Consumer Reports<\/a> and noticed ratings for pocket camcorders. They look really promising for what I would use it for. Simple, affordable, portable, and pretty good quality. <br \/>\nI&#8217;m really liking the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Fie%3DUTF8%26x%3D14%26ref_%3Dnb_sb_noss%26y%3D16%26field-keywords%3DKodak%2520PlaySport%2520Zx3%26url%3Dsearch-alias%253Delectronics&amp;tag=extcas-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957\">Kodak PlaySport Zx3<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=extcas-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>. It is available at Amazon.com for $140 as a bundle with a 4gb sd card, tripod and remote control. Sweet little deal. It&#8217;s the top rated pocket camcorder by Consumer Reports too.<br \/>\nThe other 4 top rated pocket camcorders are:<\/p>\n<p>1. Sony Bloggie MHS-CM5<br \/>\n2. Panasonic HM-TA1<br \/>\n3.
