Delete unnecessary start up programs: <\/p>\n<p>Click Start, then choose All Programs or Programs (depending on your setup). <br \/>Find the Startup folder on the list and hover your mouse over it. <br \/>The list of programs that automatically start will appear. Check this list, and if you see something you don\u2019t want or need to start automatically&#8211;such as some Microsoft Office task&#8211;right-click it and choose Delete. <\/p>\n<p>2. Stop programs which start automatically using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.majorgeeks.com\/download414.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EasyCleaner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Stop services which start automatically &#8211; use caution as some services are needed in order for your computer to run.<\/p>\n<p>To get to the list of services, click Start, then Run. <br \/>Enter services.msc in the box. The screen that pops up is a bit intimidating at first, but it\u2019s actually pretty straightforward. It lists every service on your machine and tells you whether it starts automatically or manually, among other things. <br \/>Click the Extended tab on the bottom, which will create a space that will give you a description of each service. <br \/>Now click on the words \u201cStartup Type\u201d at the top of that column, which will sort the services. The ones that say \u201cAutomatic\u201d are&#8211;obviously&#8211;the ones that start when Windows does. They\u2019re the only ones you care about. <\/p>\n<p>The following lists services you can probably do without. Of course, if you recognize one that you use such as Windows Messenger or Telnet, don\u2019t turn it off.<\/p>\n<p>Alerter<br \/>Clipbook<br \/>Computer Browser<br \/>Distributed Link Tracking Client<br \/>Error Reporting Service (if you don\u2019t want to be asked to send error reports to Microsoft anymore)<br \/>Fast User Switching<br \/>Human Interface Access Devices<br \/>IPSEC Services<br \/>Messenger<br \/>NetMeeting Remote Desktop Sharing<br \/>Portable Media Serial Number<br \/>Remote Desktop Help Session Manager<br \/>Remote Procedure Call Locator<br \/>Remote Registry<br \/>Routing &#038; Remote Access<br \/>Secondary Logon<br \/>Server<br \/>SSDP Discovery Service<br \/>Telnet<br \/>TCP\/IP NetBIOS Helper<br \/>Upload Manager<br \/>Universal Plug and Play Device Host<br \/>Workstation<\/p>\n<p>Pick one from the list and double-click it. You\u2019ll see a drop-down menu next to \u201cStartup type\u201d that is currently set to Automatic.<\/p>\n<p>Change it to Manual and click OK. This way the service will start only if it\u2019s needed, not all the time. <\/p>\n<p>4. Also considering disabling these services:<\/p>\n<p>Indexing service &#8211; disable this if you don&#8217;t use the Windows\u2019 search function very often &#8211; Start, Run, enter services.msc &#8212; see above), scroll down to Indexing Service, and set the Startup type to \u201cDisabled<\/p>\n<p>If you use the Windows Classic theme, free up some memory by scrolling down the list of services to Themes and set it to \u201cDisabled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/amy1975.fastsite.hop.clickbank.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/blogger.googleusercontent.com\/img\/b\/R29vZ2xl\/AVvXsEgOLu8H1Fl5gP5YImN5o7MLMHjjSUAPcw8GRQHqu4xuzOibAsCe6P1lHgPcoKIDfx3t5F5yD9XKCnYvodCIaqlrGczOqYqyc4h4cOGxVCE4sDGqkf_m_atD97ooPxHps0FHsuCnnf0WX-Eu\/s400\/help_them_surf_the_web_faster.gif?ssl=1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Help Them Surf The Web Faster?
